We are always open to looking at new works and previously published works alike. As long as the underlying theme is dark and or twisted, regardless of what genre it falls in, we will happily take a look.
We have a stringent policy and steps that need to be followed for a manuscript to be considered. If the submission guidelines are not followed, we assume that the rest of the process will not be either, so we don’t take it any further. Read the instructions carefully before you hit the send button.
We are only accepting complete manuscripts. Pitches for future stories that have not been written yet will not be considered. Write the story and once it is complete, send it in and we will gladly take a look.
Word documents are the only acceptable format for submitting. We do not accept PDF, mobi, or epub files nor will we accept links to where the book is already published.
Complete manuscripts should be written in 12pt Times New Roman font and double spaced. PLEASE SPELL AND GRAMMAR CHECK AT A MINIMUM.
Using Word’s grammar and spell check program will do, however, a solid round of self-editing through an app like Grammarly and/or The Hemingway Editor is highly recommended before sending. Number of beta readers who have read it and their comments are helpful, but they are not an acceptable replacement for a grammar and spell check minimum requirement.
Attach the document to an email and send it to us. In the body of the email, include a short author bio, social media links, an author picture, and a brief summary of the story attached.
Send the email to us at twistedsoulspress@gmail.com.
We do not send rejection letters. If you have not heard from us within 30 days, your submission was declined. Most likely because the steps above were not followed or because the story does not fit with the needs of Twisted Souls Press.
We believe in you as a writer and feel like a letter or email letting an author know their submission was declined is a hard blow. If you do not hear from us, read through the submission guidelines again. If you have met all of the requirements listed, the story did not fit with the dark theme of the press. If it is a guidelines issue, follow the directions carefully and submit your story again.
