I’m excited. I’m seeing the results of the Life On Your Terms project and I can’t tell you how priceless and encouraging it is!
This project goes so far beyond just helping people get the tools they need, It’s watching confidence bloom. It’s watching as ideas about the future spark, watching them get a glimpse of their full potential and wanting more of it. I can’t tell you how blessed I feel and I’m just the one watching.
This isn’t about me though. It’s about the recipients. The difference being made in their life. I may have provided the tools, a little encouragement along the way, but literally, it isn’t me doing much of anything at all.
That is exactly the case with Emily. She’s blown me away with how dedicated she’s become to writing. Now that she has the means to write, she sits down in every spare moment she has to write something. She’s writing for money now too!
She was so proud to share with me when she submitted her first written piece and it was accepted, and she got paid for it! I couldn’t be more proud of her. The assignment wasn’t an easy one, but she was committed and beat the deadline by a long shot. She’s not got a lot of spare time, but she’s putting it to good use and before long I know I’ll be able to report that she is well on her way to living her dream as a journalist!
She’s done so much more than that too. She’s encouraging other writers to get in and keep going. She created a group chat with her local friends that write and invited me to join it to answer questions and provide guidance and assistance where she can’t. I was happy to do it and was impressed by how far along these other writers are. A little bit of encouragement goes a long way and they give back to me just as much as they get from me, if not more.
