Save a life this holiday season

Its the week of Thanksgiving. I’ve got tons of things to be grateful for. I’m thankful for all of it, but I’m also depressed beyond words.

The holiday season is the most depressing season of the year for many of us, not just me. It runs from this week all the way through the end of January for me. The worst times and events in my life have happened during this time of year. I deal, and come February, things are usually back to normal again. It’s a lot to deal with and when I’m alone, I don’t deal so well.

I know how to push through the tough times.I know how to cope. I know that things are going to be fine once this season passes. I’ll bounce back and be ok no matter how down I feel right now.

It’s a reminder to me though. It’s not just me. I’m not the only one that deals with depression like this. I’m not the only one that fakes happiness this time of year to not ruin the cheer for everyone else.

I can’t do much, but I can tell you that I see you. I feel you. I know you are there. I know what you are going through. I want the best for you, and right now, I believe that might be a simple I love you and I always will. It’s what I could use.

So, I love you and I always will!!!

If you know someone that deals with depression at any time of year, check in with them. Tell them you love them and always will. It could save their life.
