Journey to Success Summit

January 16th and 17th 2021

I have been involved with the True Living Network since about August of 2020. Just since then I have watched so many people grow and make progress in their businesses. People speaking and working together to make big changes in the world, and new connections being made every week. It really is a beautiful thing to be a part of.

I started out on a Wednesday night mastermind call. I had no idea what to expect other than an opportunity to network in a different environment, so, I just showed up. Five minutes in, I’m pitching my business to a group full of total strangers.

It was awful. I was unprepared and I knew it. My heart was racing, I felt sweaty, I could see on the video that my face was flushed, I felt so ill immediately after. I didn’t have a solid pitch put together was putting it mildly. I had less than a minute to explain who I was and what it was that I did, then why I showed up and what it was that I was needing or hoping to get from the group.

That last part was the easiest part. I needed funding. So, my pitch was literally a bunch of ums, author, real estate, and I need funding. It was so god awful to me I really felt like I was going to get booted. I didn’t think I belonged there after my shoddy pitch. But I didn’t get the boot. People gave feedback that didn’t feel like criticism or pitching their service to me. I stayed and listened, I interacted and took part the whole rest of the meeting. I went back the next week, and the next, and I’ve missed probably one meeting since then.

I’ve had meetings with several of the facilitators and have made new friendships that are going to last a long time with several people in the group and now, I’m on the planning committee for the Network’s first major event. The Journey to Success Summit.

For any of you who have attended online events (and even some in person events) you know that I’m fully capable and qualified to be on the committee. It was a bit of a struggle to get here, which was highly unusual for me. I’m used to stepping up to volunteer and things just kind of getting handed over. That didn’t happen this time. I had to convince people over and over again that I was qualified and would be a valuable asset as part of the team.

All they knew about me at that point was that I was a struggling author trying to scale my business selling books by diving head first into real estate investing to feed my ad spend budget, and it wasn’t working. I hadn’t told them about or shown them any of what I had accomplished in the past. They had no idea how qualified I was and they weren’t actively looking for someone to help. I forced my way in. Literally.

I had to show them that I was interested because this event was a huge undertaking and it’s success will lead to a lot of great things for a lot of great people. My people specifically. I wanted to make sure of it and the only way to do it was to be a member of the organizing team. I’m watching it grow and move forward and I’ve got to say, with the amazing people working on the project and the genuine desire of everyone involved to help everyone get to the next level, it’s going to be a very transformational event.

No bullshit. If you show up and don’t walk away with something different and extremely valuable, (a solid business plan, a marketing strategy that works, inspiration, a publishable book, connections with people that matter) then you are doing something wrong.

With 3 rooms, one for publishing, one for building and growing your business, and one for influencers and visionaries, combined with the ability to pick and choose who’s sessions you attend at the event, you get a profound opportunity to learn from and connect with just the right people right where you need them.

Just check out the list of speakers that have come together to help you!

Being a member of the organization team also gives me the ability to help. Aside from guidance and making sure True Living is bringing you things that are valuable and tangible, I have a special opportunity to help you get a 50% discount on your ticket price and they made it super easy to get. Just type ChristyMann in the promo code box and your $495 ticket is only $247.50! You could invite a friend!

I really hope to see so many of you there and I’m over the top excited to get to see the transformations that come from just showing up with intent to make the changes you want to see in your life and the lives of others in 2021!

Happy New Year!
